Alpha technology
Alpha is a homogeneous versatile, bead-based platform that enables you to assay even the most complex samples in one well and with no wash steps.

A range of AlphaLISA detection kits are available for virology studies. Available kits allow for virus quantification, and cytokine detection. Specifically, the AlphaLISA IL-6 and C Reaction Protein (CRP) kits are of particular interest in looking at the COVID-19 cytokine storm. Additionally, AlphaLISA kits and Toolbox Acceptor Beads are available for immunoglobulin detection.
Alpha SureFire kits can be used to assess both innate and adaptive antiviral immunity. When assessing innate antiviral immunity a range of SureFire kits are available for proteins in the TLR, cGAS-STING, TLR/ cGAS-STING/ Inflammasome/ NF-kB, and JAK/STAT pathways. Kits are also available for assessing adaptative antiviral immunity, both through the T-cell activation pathway and the B-cell activation pathway.
HTRF
HTRF assays are fast, sensitive, homogeneous, and ready to use with no wash steps.

Furthermore, viral neutralization assays utilizing HTRF technology are also available.
Luminescence assays
Reporter gene, cytotoxicity, and cell proliferation assays are important tools not only in virology studies, but in drug discovery in general. Luminescence assays are ideal for use in viral neutralization assays and to monitor cell viability.
