Overview

Cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1), encoded by the CDC2 gene, is a serine/threonine kinase ubiquitously expressed in eukaryotes. CDK1 is a catalytic subunit of a protein kinase called the M-phase promoting factor that induces entry into mitosis. Dysregulated activation of CDK1 leads to uncontrolled cell division and is a hallmark of cancer. Inhibition of CDK1 is an active research area, especially with new approaches involving PROTACs.

The AlphaLISA SureFire Human and Mouse Phospho-CDK1 (Tyr15) Detection Kit is a sandwich immunoassay for the quantitative detection of phospho-CDK1 (Tyr15) in cellular lysates, using Alpha Technology.
