Recommended for:

  • 1.4 mm ceramic beads are suited for soft tissues and soft plant material, including brain, liver, kidney, and spleen.
  • 2.8 mm ceramic beads are suited for hard tissues and hard plant material, including heart, muscle, skin, tendon, tail, and whole organs.
  • 6.5 mm ceramic beads are suited for dry grinding and dry homogenizing, including grains and seeds disruption as well as lyophilized hard plant material.
  • 0.1 mm ceramic beads are suited for lysing bacteria, mammalian, and fungal cells, and recommended for use in 96 well plates on the Bead Ruptor 96 homogenizer.
  • 0.5 mm ceramic beads are suited for lysing bacteria, mammalian, and fungal cells, including gram positive bacteria, and recommended for use in 96 well plates on the Bead Ruptor 96 homogenizer.
  • 1/4'' ceramic cylinders are suited for larger tissue disruption.
