3D immune cell killing assays yield more physiologically relevant results and are critical to the pursuit of more specialized therapies for the treatment of solid tumors. But they aren't without various technical and logistical difficulties. To address these challenges, this paper presents several successful assay setups that utilize various analysis technologies to study the antitumor functions of immunotherapies in a 3D environment.
