Streamline the HEK 293 HCP impurity quantification workflow with new, no-wash AlphaLISA HEK 293 Host Cell Protein Kit

Human Embryonic Kidney (HEK) 293 cells are commonly used in the expression and production of therapeutic proteins and viruses for gene therapy. During the transgenic expression manufacturing process, HEK 293 cells express numerous endogenous proteins known as Host Cell Proteins (HCPs). The clearance of HCP contaminants is a significant concern during downstream process development due to potential adverse clinical effects, a decrease in product efficacy, and stability concerns.

In this application note, you will find:

  • An overview of the AlphaLISA™ assay principle with figures
  • Detailed data on dilutional linearity, antigen spike recovery, intra/inter-assay precision, cross-reactivity, and antibody coverage analysis
  • Real-world cases showcasing compatibility with commonly used buffers in AAV manufacturing
