Rat liver nucleic acid extraction with the Omni Bead Ruptor Elite bead mill homogenizer

nucleic-acid-extraction-from-hepg2-512

Animal tissue is commonly used for nucleic acid analysis in processes like PCR or next-generation sequencing. Traditional lysis methods for nucleic acid extraction can be time-consuming and labor-intensive. The Omni Bead Ruptor Elite bead mill homogenizer offers a quick and efficient alternative for homogenizing large tissue samples, yielding a homogenate suitable for downstream nucleic acid isolation and analysis. In this application note, the homogenizer method yielded robust yields and integrity values from both DNA and RNA from 10 g of rat liver tissues.
