Protein extraction from soft tissues using the Omni Bead Ruptor Elite bead mill homogenizer

Proteomic profiling, which aims to understand protein structure and function, often begins with protein extraction from a sample. Bead mill homogenizer has been used to reliably isolate proteins from soft tissues, with the beads’ high-speed impact dissociating the tissues and cells. This study demonstrated the homogenizer’s ability to extract proteins from various soft tissues from rat efficiently, maintaining the proteins’ molecular integrity for further proteomic research applications.
