Postbiotics: a paradigm shift in microbiome research

At the University of Milano-Bicocca, researchers in the laboratory of Professor Francesco Peri have been investigating the impact of molecules produced by microbiota metabolism, known as postbiotics, on the human host. The team has been using using high-content imaging and AlphaLISA immunoassays to explore the modulatory effects of these metabolites on dysbiosis.
