Harness avidity without compromising on pharmacology

Characterize compounds in extra-low affinity interactions

This Note groups protocols and data showing how a Biotin-Streptavidin system can be used to increase the apparent affinity of a protein-protein interaction and make it easy to characterize.

No need to worry about the pharmacology of compounds tested this way: you will also see experiments demonstrating that this avidity-based approach does not impair compound characterization.

Features:

  • Apparent affinity of weak interactions enhanced with the Biot-SA system
  • Evidence for pharmacological validation
  • Kd determination using the avidity approach

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
