FlexDrop Non-contact Dispenser

Small volume dispensing has often been performed with manual mechanical pipettors, but this can incorporate risk and inaccuracies due to human error. To automate this process, traditional liquid handlers have been used, but they require expertise and proprietary programming. The FlexDrop™ Plus Non-Contact Dispenser changes the game for simple, very small volume dispensing workflows and can be set-up and used in minutes.

Features:

  • Make, optimize & dispense a wide range of liquid classes, incl DMSO
  • Low volume to high volume range (8 nL-80 µL) allows compounds & buffer backfilling on the same instrument
  • Wide range of sample types, large & small molecules
  • Precision less than 5%CV at 50 nL volume (H2O)
  • Fast and efficient: dispense 10 nL into 96 wells in 10 seconds, into 384 wells in 20 seconds. unique speed at high volumes

Compound inhibitor profiling using the FlexDrop Plus Non-Contact Dispenser.

The ADP-Glo™ Kinase Assay : a powerful tool for drug discovery The ADP-Glo™ Kinase Assay is a crucial tool in drug discovery research. It measures the activity of kinases, essential enzymes involved in cellular signaling. By quantifying the amount of ADP produced during kinase reactions, the assay helps identify potential drug candidates that can inhibit kinase activity and treat diseases like cancer and inflammation. Experimental Overview The study involved comparing the FlexDrop™ Plus to other liquid handling methods, including a multichannel pipette and a pipetting station. Experiments were conducted using different enzymes and compounds to assess the FlexDrop Plus's performance in various aspects of the ADP-Glo™ Kinase Assay, such as compound dilution, reagent addition, and overall assay execution. The FlexDrop Plus Non-Contact Dispenser: A Game-Changer The FlexDrop Plus has the potential to revolutionize the compound inhibitor profiling process. By automating key steps and improving efficiency, it can accelerate drug discovery efforts and reduce costs. This study provides valuable insights into the capabilities of the FlexDrop Plus and its potential to enhance the ADP-Glo™ Kinase Assay. To learn more about the FlexDrop Plus and its potential to streamline your compound inhibitor profiling workflows, we invite you to explore the complete document and review the detailed results. Flow cytometry sample preparation is faster and more accurate with FlexDrop Plus

Flow cytometry has become much more powerful in recent years. Scientists can now analyze over 40 markers on thousands of cells every second, thanks to new technology. However, this complexity creates a challenge: manually adding antibodies is slow, tedious, and error prone. This study explores how the use of an automated antibody dispensing system can improve efficiency and data quality by precisely dispensing the colored (fluorophore-conjugated) antibodies and allowing for more control samples. The researchers compared different liquid handling systems for dispensing these colored antibodies. They focused on how fast the system worked, how much liquid was wasted, and how reliable it was. Discover the results! For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Unlocking the Power of Precision: 3D Spheroid Formation with the FlexDrop Plus

Unlocking the Power of Precision The pursuit of more accurate and predictive in vitro cancer models has led to a growing interest in 3D cell culture techniques. Among these, spheroid formation offers a promising avenue for mimicking the complex in vivo tumor microenvironment. However, traditional spheroid formation methods often face challenges in terms of scalability, reproducibility, and the uniformity of resulting spheroids. In this study, we introduce a novel approach utilizing the FlexDrop™ Plus, a cutting-edge noncontact liquid dispensing device. By combining the FlexDrop Plus with the liquid overlay technique (LOT), we aim to address the limitations of existing methods and provide a more efficient and reliable solution for spheroid generation. The capabilities of the FlexDrop Plus to generate A549 lung cancer spheroids are presented as well as the key advantages of this approach. Please read this application note to explore the potential of the FlexDrop Plus in spheroid formation. For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
