Cell Counting and Viability Assay Kits and Reagents
Optimized for Cellometer, Cellaca and Celigo platforms
Complementing our Cellometer, Cellaca and Celigo cell counters and image cytometers, Revvity’s portfolio of reagents enables you to accurately perform fluorescence-based cell counting and viability assays.
Cell stains
- ViaStain Acridine Orange (AO) - for staining of nucleated cells
- ViaStain Propidium Iodide (PI) - for staining dead nucleated cells
- ViaStain AO/PI - for accurate determination of live/dead nucleated cell concentration in nucleated samples using dual-fluorescence.
- DAPI – a fluorescent dye that binds to DNA, is excited by UV light and may be used to stain live and fixed cells.
- Hoechst 33342 – a fluorescent dye that binds to DNA, is excited by DNA, and is more lipophilic than other Hoechst dyes, therefore enters live cells more easily.
ViaStain AO/PI staining solution
For accurate determination of live / dead nucleated cell concentration in heterogeneous samples using dual-fluorescence.
ViaStain Calcein AM dye and kits
Calcein AM is a cell-permeable viability dye. In live cells, non-fluorescent Calcein AM is converted by cellular esterases into green fluorescing calcein. As well as a stand-alone dye, Revvity provides a number of kits which incorporate Calcein AM.
ViaStain Calcein AM / PI cell viability kit
The kit enables measurement of the number and concentration of both metabolically active calcein positive and dead PI- positive cells
ViaStain Calcein AM / PI / Hoechst viability kit
The kit contains three reagents: Calcein AM, Hoechst and PI. Live and metabolically active cells are labeled with Calcein, dead cells are labeled with PI, and total number of cells is determined by Hoechst.
Cellaca PLX Hoechst/RubyDead viability kit
The Cellaca PLX viability kit is designed for determining viability of GFP or RFP expressing cell lines.
